Teatro Comunale di Bologna Choir

The Teatro Comunale di Bologna Choir is one of the most prestigious choral ensembles on the international scene. Over the years, it has been led by distinguished choir masters such as Marcello Seminara, Paolo Vero, Lorenzo Fratini, Andrea Faidutti, and Alberto Malazzi.

Its extensive discography includes celebrated opera works such as La Favorita, Macbeth, Manon Lescaut, Rigoletto, La Cenerentola, and Rossini’s Messa Solenne.

The choir has graced some of the world’s most renowned stages, with performances in Amsterdam (1987), Wiesbaden (1994), Japan (1993, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2017), Savonlinna (2006), Santander (2008), Muscat (2015), and Paris (2018). A particularly memorable moment in its history was in 2001, when it participated in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms Festival, alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Daniele Gatti.
