We are happy to announce that the choirmaster who will lead the voices on stage at the XXXI edition of the ‘2 Agosto’ International Composition Competition will be Gea Garatti Ansini!
With a prestigious career in opera and choral conducting, she has worked with famous conductors including Gatti, Pappano, Muti, and Mehta. She has conducted at major opera houses, such as the Rome Opera and Teatro Comunale di Bologna, performing a vast repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary works.

During the evening, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna Choir, one of the most celebrated choral ensembles internationally, will take the stage. With a rich history of performances across the globe—from London’s Royal Albert Hall to Japan and Paris—the choir boasts an extensive discography featuring iconic operatic works.
