Denise Fedeli

Swiss orchestra conductor who has given concerts across Europe with orchestras such as the Philharmonia Hungarica, Sinfonieorchester Münster, Minsk Philharmonic, Bulgarian Radio Sofia, Państwowa Filharmonia Olsztyn, Filarmonica de Stat Oradea, Sinfonie Orchester Biel, Orchestra della Svizzera italiana. In Italy, she has been on the podium of various orchestras including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Sinfonica Siciliana, Regionale Toscana, Sinfonica dell’Emilia-Romagna “A.Toscanini,” Orchestra da camera di Padova e del Veneto, “Haydn” of Bolzano and Trento, Pomeriggi Musicali and MilanoClassica.

From 2007 to 2020 she held the position of Artistic and Administrative Director of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, developing its musical identity with a clear interpretative line and achieving great successes in halls such as the Musikverein in Vienna, the Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Philharmonie in Cologne, the Kleine Philharmonie in Berlin, the Brucknerhaus in Linz, the Cadogan Hall in London, the Parco della Musica in Rome, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro and the Arts Center in Seoul, collaborating with soloists such as Martha Argerich, Janine Jansen, Lisa Batiashvili, Sol Gabetta, Yuja Wang and Evgenij Kissin.

Additionally, she has collaborated for many years with RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera and taught at the University School of Music of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana.

Born in Lugano, she graduated in Piano, Composition and Conducting from the Conservatorio “G.Verdi” in Milan.
