The Organizing Committee of the International Composing Competition “2 Agosto” is proud to announce that Gergely Kesselyàk is the Conductor for the XXIII Edition.
A compelling, sharp, energetic force on the podium, conductor Gergely Kesselyàk has built an outstanding reputation on his charismatic stage presence and expressive interpretations of concert and opera repertoire. His sophisticated music making and command of a variety of composers and styles, have landed Mr. Kesselyakthe, Director of the Bartók+ Opera Festival, an impressive portfolio of engagements which counts, among others, the Hungarian State Opera House, the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra. He will conduct the Orchestra Toscanini which will perform together with different soloists to be announced soon.
