Choosing the winners among this year’s scores submissions was an evermore difficult job for the jury, who met last weekend to embark this pleasurable yet challenging task.
Here’s the list of the chosen winners for the 2018 Edition:
1st Prize:
Mozhgan Chahian (IRAN)
Born in 1990, she started music in 1994 by singing and started playing Santur in 2002. She got diploma in music in 2007, BA in music in 2012 and MA in music composition in 2016. She also won the first prize in playing Santur in Iran music schools festival in 2007. Now, she teaches music in the University of Art in Tehran and several music institutes in Tehran.
Ilia Skibinsky (ISRAEL)
Alessandro is an Italian thirty-one years old soundtracks’ compositor for cinema, TV, theater and so on. In 2015 he composed the music for Sigla Animata of Milano Film Network. He also works in private schools and in public institutions as a drum and music teacher, and in 2018 he was also selected as a Composition’s teacher at the Artetika production.
Special Mention:
One special mention was allocated to Iranian composer Hesam Jafari (IRAN).
