Among the winners of the Twenty-First Edition of the International Composing Competition “2 Agosto” there are two very young Iranian talents.
The Jury – chaired by the Italian composer Fabrizio de Rossi Re -, meeting from June 26th until June 28th, has unanimously chosen the score titled “The Checkered City” by Vahid Jahandari as winner of the First Prize. The Third Prize has been awarded to Alvand Jalali Jafari.
An Italian composer, Paolo Cognetti – with a score titled “Mare Monstrum, Verso Luce” -, has been awarded with the Second Prize, while another Italian composer, Matteo Maria Salvo, received the Special Mention of the Jury.
