Concorso 2 Agosto announces that the current Conductor of Concorso will be Alessandro Cadario

The current Conductor of Concorso 2 Agosto Gergely Kesselyak, will be replaced by Maestro Alessandro Cadario because of health problems.

 
 
The current Conductor of Concorso 2 Agosto Gergely Kesselyak, will be replaced by Maestro Alessandro Cadario because of health problems.
Alessandro Cadario is the Principal Guest Director of the Orchestra of Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, starting from 2016/2017 season. 
 
Mr. Cadario is charismatic conductor, both in the symphonic and opera repertoire. He completed the orchestra conducting studies with the highest marks at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan, with two merit degrees at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with Gianluigi Gelmetti.
 
Moreover, he received a diploma in violin, a degree in chorus and composition, both with the highest marks and praise. After winning the “Peter Maag” international conducting competition, he caught the general attention in 2014 debuting at the Quartet Society in Milano and in 2015 with the direction of Pollicino di H.W. Henze during Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and with a concert in the symphonic season of Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. In 2015, he debuted at the Teatro alla Scala in Milano at the International Orchestra Festival, as well as at the Albanian National Opera and Ballet Theater.
 
He directed important orchestras including: the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte Carlo, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Phoenix, the Orchestra and Choir of the Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Orchestra and Choir of the Cagliari Lyrical Theater, the Concert Budapest, the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra of Milano, the Orchestra of Padova and Veneto and The Sofia Festival Orchestra.Maestro Cadario collaborated with soloists such as Mario Brunello, Vittorio Grigolo, Alessandro Carbonare and Rainer Honeck. He will soon debut with the orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and with the orchestra of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
 
In addition to the classic repertoire, Alessandro Cadario focuses his attention on contemporary music that plays with particular dedication, given his dual nature as director and composer. His compositions were awarded at the Lincoln Center in New York, at the Darmstadt Opera House and at the National Concert Hall in Taipei. He currently collaborates on the preparation of FuturOrchestra, Orchestra Giovanile Lombarda, and the National Orchestra of the Orchestra and Youth Choir in Italy, a project strongly desired by Maestro Claudio Abbado.
