The evening of 2 August brought with it a whirlwind of emotions, music and memories enlivening this event, both artistically and culturally.
As usual, Piazza Maggiore welcomed a huge turnout, not only those connected to the event itself, but also friends and families of the musicians and judges of this edition, as well as representatives of the Municipality of Bologna and many citizens, who gathered to hear, remember and meet this year’s winners.
The three winners had the opportunity to present their musical works in the heart of the city, conveying profound emotions through their compositions, each unique and original. Maestro Frédéric Chaslin, with his extraordinary expertise, was able to bring out the best in the winners’ compositions and also masterfully conducted two subsequent pieces: Ravel’s Concerto in G Major and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. His performance was met with lengthy applause, which led to a second performance of the Rhapsody.
Although the rain made an appearance during the second half of the concert, nobody left their seats and the musicians continued to play with passion, making the evening even more memorable.
