Gea Garatti Ansini joins the Board of judges and leads the Choir – XXXII edition

We are pleased to announce that Gea Garatti Ansiniwill take part in the XXXII edition of the “2 Agosto” International Composition Competition both as a Member of the Jury and as Choirmaster.

A choir conductor and pianist, Gea Garatti Ansini studied at the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory in Bologna and graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, further specialising in the Kodály choral method in Hungary. She has collaborated as Choirmaster with leading Italian opera houses, including the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli, and with international institutions, developing a wide-ranging repertoire spanning opera, symphonic and sacred music.

During the final concert evening, she will conduct the Teatro Comunale di Bologna Choir, an ensemble with a long-standing tradition and an international profile. Over the years, the Choir and Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna have worked with many of the world’s most distinguished conductors and regularly perform in major theatres and festivals across Europe and beyond.
